Deborah Gilman, Ph.D.

Deb is dedicated to helping employees identify their personal strengths and develop effective strategies for managing stress and other work and personal challenges.  She strives to create a safe and accepting environment in which employees can feel supported as they explore their concerns and develop increased insight.  Deb works collaboratively with employees to set goals, enhance their overall well-being, and access outside resources as needed.    Deb is a licensed clinical psychologist with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a bachelor’s in Psychology and Dance.  She has over 20 years of experience providing consultation, behavioral assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and referral.  Before joining the Arlington EAP, Deb worked in a variety of settings including primary and secondary education, university counseling, emergency mental health, and inpatient and outpatient services.  Most recently, Deb worked for many years as a school-based clinical psychologist in the Arlington Public Schools.
